Swedish Butter Cookies (aka lemon drops)

These are delicious little 1.5" cookies that Great-grandma Siskosky used to make and I used to gobble by the bunches when I was small. Rumor has it that we never quite got the exact recipe.. grandma was great for "keeping a secret ingredient out" but this is as close to it as Grandma Della was able to get.
Ingredients
Cream
- 1c. butter or margarine
- 1/3 c. powdered sugar
- 3/4 C. cornstarch
- 1 C sifted flour
Mix and CHILL.
Form into little balls then flatten using a glass with a water-moistened bottom - these are small cookies about 1.5" in diameter
Bake at 350 for 10 minutes on an ungreased pan.
Yields about 5 dozen.
When they cool - Frost with the following:
- 1C powedered sugar - sifted
- 1 TBsp - melted butter
- 1 TBsp - lemon juice
- 1 TBsp - orange juice
Chill cookies after frosting to set frosting... (it's really like a thin glaze sort of frosting...)
