Quiche
Basic and DELICIOUS by CAROL GAUNT
Carol made these for the brunch served at Sydney's Baptism Party... and they were WONDERFUL!!! She says the "secret ingredient" is the Mayo.... and I believe her!
For each 9-10 in. pie:
Ingredients
- 2 TBS flour
- 1 cup mayonaise
- 3 lg eggs beaten
- 1 cup whole milk
Instructions:
To the mayonnaise, add the flour, eggs and milk one ingredient at a time with a wire whisk. Return to frig in shaker container until very cold. Blind bake crust and prepare fillings. Place filling ingredients in pie shell. Shake well and pour over ingredients in prepared pie shell. Bake at 350 degrees, until set. About 45-50 min.
Fillings:
- Seafood, green onion and Swiss cheese
- Bacon and cheddar cheese
- Ham, Swiss cheese and spinach
- Anything you like. It is best to precook most ingredients, especially vegetables to remove as much moisture as possible and intensify flavor.
