Hello Dollies - Grandma Della's recipe

These are those yummy bar cookies that Grandma Della used to make... and we gobbled by the ton when you were little.
Enjoy these and make LOTS... they go FAST!
Ingredients
- 3 TBSp sugar
- 1/2 c. oleo/butter
- 1.5 C. graham cracker crumbs
- 1 c. chopped nutmeats (walnuts or pecans)
- 1 - 6oz pkg. choc. chips**
- 1&1/3 C. flaked coconut
- 1 - 15 oz. can of Eagle Brand Sweetened Condensed Milk
Instructions: Melt margarine in 13x9in pan. Tilt pan to cover evenly. Sprinkle graham cracker crumbs evenly over margarine.
Sprinkle with sugar. Sprinkle with nuts, then coconut, then choc. chips. Pour the sweetened condensed milk evenly over all,
(don't go quite to the edges so it doesn't cause things to stick!) Bake at 350 about 25 minutes.
- Grandma used to vary this by making it sometimes with a 50/50 blend of choc. chips and butterscotch chips (about 3oz. of each) We all seemed to like that one the best. I have seen it done with peanut butter chips too.
