Beef Bar-B-Q
Years ago Uncle George & Aunt Evelyn Reschke owned a BBQ stand in Benton Harbor, Michigan. This is the recipe they used. It freezes well.
Ingredients
- 2 lbs. stew beef (or round steak, cut up)
- 1 pint tomatoes
- 2/3 cup chopped onions
- 1-1/2 tablespoons sugar
- 2 tablespoons BBQ or Worcestershire sauce
- 1/2 cup vinegar
- 1 teaspoon salt
Simmer 4 to 5 hours. Pour off juice (or simmer the last hour with the lid off).
OR - Cook for 8-10 hours in crockpot on low.
